Over 40 years experience as Psychoanalytic
Psychotherapist
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR, TRAINING THERAPIST AND AUTHOR
Marie Maguire
I have written or co-edited three books and many articles and book chapters mainly on gender, sexuality, orientation and identity.
I have a particular interest in how cultural inequalities such as those of gender, class and race emerge in psychotherapy. This has led me to work in many pioneering psychotherapy projects in the public sector, including women’s therapy centres as well as in private practice.

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY - PRIVATE PRACTICE
I work in a flexible way, adapting my technique and timescale to individual needs. In my private practice I offer both brief focussed therapy and ongoing intensive psychotherapy. I learn anew from every client and work with any issue important to them. I have considerable expertise in working with serious childhood and adult trauma. Recently I have become very interested in working with all aspects of neurodiversity, including individual and family experience of autism and ADHD.
